It looks like I might be signing up for a new PC and audio interface.

Any T users on PC platform using the M-audio Firewire Audiophile 4x6?

Thumbs up or down?

Or how about the M-audio Delta 66? I see that one has 4 channels of analog I/O (correct?), in a PCI format with a nice breakout box.

I just want to know if T/PC users have had issues with M-audio gear/drivers.

M-audio's drivers seem to have a rather solid reputation. The Delta66 indeed has 4 (mono) inputs & outputs, plus two (one stereo channel) digital. The Delta44 is identical, but minus the SP-Dif digital in/outs.

If you have a mixer, it all will be awesome... A mixer is handy for mic/guitar inputs, headphone outputs, routing monitoring signals, etc.

If you ask me, when you have the choice (read: not on a laptop) go for a PCI card instead of FireWire. I've read too many messages here about people getting a headache that only went away after getting a "compatible" PCI FireWire card.

i use a Delta 66: sounds good, its rock-solid; latency can go below 3ms with Tracktion without glitching (although I tend to run it higher as my cpu complains too much).

I have no complaints.. :)
