Y'know....

If you stand about 15 foot back from your screen, and squint at that picture -- when the light is right, and from just the right angle -- that picture is still f-cking indecipherable.

Did I ever mention my hatred of 3d stereograms?

Those things used to really piss me off.

It was like a whole world of people suddenly could see hidden meaning in any random bunch of dots you cared to throw at them. Me? All I could ever see was a very near future involving eye-strain, a headache, and large box of frustration.

I got so damn obsessed about actually seeing one of those bloody 3d images, I spent hours staring at them. Drunk, sober, one eye shut, both eyes squniting. I freakin' tried everything.

It got so bad, I found myself hunting for the pattern in peoples ties. Damn near put me in a mental home those things did.

Even to this day I can't look at paint spills without starting to form a squint.

Why am I telling you this? Just so that you'll understand when I say: "Rob, you bleedin' bastard, cut with the messed up pictures!" :x

"Wow, it's a schooner. "

"[ Chuckles ] you dumb bastard. It's not a schooner; It's a sailboat."

"A schooner is a sailboat, stupid-head."

<goes ballistic>

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've yet to see one. I 'almost' saw one once, which makes me believe I have the capability. I do have depth perception and can see fine out of both eyes... in theory I should have no problem seeing these...

I stare blankly for hours on end some days without focusing directly on something...

I have the prerequisites!

I can see those thingss--what depresses me is: How did someone invent the thing? I mean really--I have no clue how someone could think up an idea like that and then figure out how to make it work. It makes me think my brain is completely shut out from an entire segment of humanity. Some people can think in ways i can't even think of how to think--ya think?

Bugs me no end.

It's not the best View Askew movie, but at least it's better than Chasing Amy.

Chasing Amy's great! True, Mall Rats rules, but I'd take Chasing Amy over Jay & Silent Bob any day!

Well, for the record, i can easily view 3d stereograms like they are intended as well as inverted along the z-axis (which is easy, just cross your eyes).

Mallrats is great! It's no Clerks, but nothing ever will be. He has too much money to do such a lovely piece of crap again. :D

My View Askew rankings:

1. Clerks
2. Dogma
3. Mallrats
4. Chasing Amy
5. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
