well the thing I heared was it would come out later this summer... and that's been a year ago (or maybe two)

but since I am announcing the release of my record every now and again for three years now I know what they're going thru

My word Ron, you really do have a good grasp of how the calendar works now. Well done!

Don't worry, T2 will be released in a fortnight.

There is a whole forum full of Americans thinking: "in a what?"

;)
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

Sorry.

Fortnight:

1) A period of 14 days; two weeks.
2) (in Tracktion development) an undetermined period of time. A mirage date which keeps being pushed further. (example: The new version with Rack Filters will be released in a fortnight) [also see: groundhog]

"Why, howdy, Lemuel -- I ain't seen ya in a groundhog's fortnight!"

"Yeah, I reckon it's been a month o' Sundays."

P.S.: To answer the OP's question, isn't it obvious? If March passes without T2, you may not pass "GO" and you may not collect $200 (to spend on T2, that is).

Hey,

It has been a long time since I posted here in the Raw Mat. Not to be negative, but have you ever heard of a company just announcing one day that there software is now avalible for purchase and download without giving the buyer a heads up? Out of the clear blue you find a purchase now button on the web site. I would have to think that it will be some time before we see T2, simply because there has not been any date announced. Look at propellerheads main page, look a native instruments and their releases. They all tell you ahead of time, giving us the consumer plenty of time to prepare. If the days do go by, I doubt we will see it in March, even if it is a long month. Sorry for a negative post, I am content now, yet I would like to know well before a release so I can prepare financially. Does that make sense?

Thanks,

Lance

Software companies do well not to announce a set release date unless the product is 100% finished.

With unfinished software, such announcements are based on estimates, and estimates are per definition not accurate. That said, "The month of march" is a broad enough estimate to be realistic.

But wasnt the qoute 'in the weeks following NAMM'?

Lets see....."the weeks"..... hmmmmm.....why, thats says nothing :-)

The changes have been subtle, so it took some time for a suspicion to grow into a certainty, but in the fortnights since the first hint of T2, I have noticed that T1 has become increasingly unusable.

I predict that on the day when T1 becomes completely useless, T2 will be released just in time.

And yes, I remember WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS.

As well as "Tracktion: the carriage-clock on your musical mantelpiece" :)

Unfortunatly I agree. The only talk about an early march releas that I have heard of is at this forum. Nothing at the Tracktion webpage. Recently Jules himself posted saying that he had no idea when it will be released, but Beno may know, indicating it's out of Jules' hands. If it where to be released within the next 25 days It would have been announced. And early march? Already to late for that.

However much I have always liked Tracktion I have found that since starting to use Logic I use T less and less, mainly for lack of a few features that are important to me. Theese are said to be included in T2, but for each day that passes I am getting more and more used to working with Logic and realising that it actually is just as quick to work with at T once you get past the learning curve. I will be checking T2 out for sure, but now I am almost sure that I will be staying with Logic; changing sequencer back and forth is just to much work.
