Thanks for that explanation, I didn't realize that's what people mean when they say "subgroups". Seems an almost unintended "feature" of T, no? I may use that on a few things I'm working on.

My advice: R-click any Level Meter filter, and "select all other filters of this type".

Yes, but if I do that, how do I know if an individual track is clipping? I usually increase levels until it clips, and then bring them down from there (since there is no normalize per track in T). Isn't it important to know when it's clipping? Or do you use Inspector or something else?

Yes, the screen was a main selling point to me when I switched to T1 from Cubase, and it looks like the graphics have only been improved in T2, not changed. I've been using video editing apps on both mac & PC, and I wish those devs took a long look at Tracktion

Well, it works like a charm. It's one of those "duh...I should have been able to figure that out" features, but the way of working in T is just so different than Cubase, it never dawned on me.

Tracktion uses 32-bit floats to mix, so the only place you can clip is the master outs. The only exception to this is rendering (as this will be 24-bit at best) but its easy enough to create a new Level Meter if you need to check. (Of course, if your master fader is at unity and the mix buss doesn't clip, then you know you're safe anyway.)
