for t2 i've waited a long time (still). i hope after t2 "missing feature updates" and bugfixes will be more often. does anyone knows more about that. i really can't stand it waiting another year for a little, fast to code feature, that makes it all better and we all wants (for example if anything comes up like the missing first midinote...)

WIth most software, it's normal to have more updates after a new release and less before a new release. The developers are working on the new release so their time isn't spent as much with updates to the old version. But then when it's released, their time is still being spent on the new version. So there are frequent updates to answer all the bug reports as people use the software on their machines. It's just good coding practice, and I'm sure T2 will be no different.

As koolkeys says, I doubt we'll have such a hellishly long wait.
And it has been a LONG time since the last update, which I think is one reason why some of us have become a little wound up and impatient. Especially for those who remember "the good old days" when Tracktion users felt more appreciated and involved in the process. Customer support back then was definitely one of Tracktion's erm... attractions when I bought into it, even though I didn't personally get involved on the forum for several months after that.
In the aftermath of the release of Tracktion 2.0.0.24 or whatever it is by the time it goes public, I imagine that ordinary users will post loads of bug reports, requiring numerous small upgrades. We'll all need to spend weekly time downloading the cures from Mackie.
This is depressingly normal in the music software world, the notable excepetion being Propellerhead's Reason. The new version of that has had a 5 month public beta test because the developers have a religious determination not to piss off their paying customers.
