don't know what's wrong but no chance of getting minihost to receive midi. never had such problem with any other host.
i have a terratec dmx6fire.....its has it own midi driver.....if thats of any help.

@starcraft: have you activated the MIDI-In ports? To do so, go to the "MIDI - Configure MIDI ports" menu and put a check in the box next to each MIDI in you want to use.

I just checked with 3 different computers/MIDI-interface, no problems with MIDI In!

I use a Yamaha keyboard with a Serial interface for Midi, it use's it's own drivers. Works with every other host i use eg: Orion (the best!)/Magic Music Studio/Music Maker/Sim Synth/Cubasis etc. And of course i have checked theMidi In and Out options. But it makes no difference, except the Midi Out works sometimes. The Midi In does not recieve any messages from my Keyboard!

installed v1.61 today and it works great.
I was having a lot of problems with 1.5 losing drivers and crashing and just plain not working on my system.
I must say that 1.61 is a treat though.

it does. It's the .exe file that comes along with the .dll...

the new (1,62) update of minihost doesn't work on my pc !
1,61 was fine.

i don't know what the trouble is (where does it comes from): when i start it, windows tells me that it has to shut down minihost without any explanation.
the others versions never did.... and i did not install new plugins.
it's kinda weird.
i'll go back to version 1,61
