Does anyone know of any good sampling / breaks forums? I have a fair collection of breaks, but Im looking to find some of those old latin and Cuban type loops. Not really sure where to start looking for this stuff, other than the edited versions you get on sample CD's.
Cheers!
Cheers!

Awesome!
But it won't have asian/cuban samples. You better google for them ("ethnic" serves good as a search term in google).

Yeah mate, Ive been lookin' for these too...Its hard work. In the end I've resorted to breakin' out the 7/8 time signature and programing them myself...With a little luck, but would still rather some nice latin' loops to work with.

You linked to a site that hasn't cleared their copyright issues!!!
This is illegal!!!
NEVER EVER DO THIS ON KVR!!!
It's a nice site, though.

Sorry. Did not know that there is some illegal content! It's a very famous site in the progressive breaks scene, lots of producers are doing that site (DJ Quest...). I edit my post and remove the link. They made the site in cooperation with Dogsonacid.declassified wrote:![]()

Wow, thanks all for the links!
Just want to clarify, I was not asking for links to illegal (lol) samples! Just looking for info.
I heard loads of tunes a few years ago featuring these big latin percussion loops, and sometimes little horn or vocal snippets. Wouldnt mind finding out where they were sampled from, for educational purposes ofcourse.
2windy,
The best breaks pack i have is the '101' err, one! My mate (and long time collaboratay!) got it off Soulseek I believe. Im sure its available from other places around the net.

If you want to see my (and other KVR members') statements on 'illegal' sampling, click here. It's KVR's reaction on me posting a link to my breaks pack. Here's a small teaser of the discussion:
Best insult I got here so farSampled from songs sounds lame! who with their mind on alert would do this?
i would get furious if somebody sampled the drums from a tune i did...
it cant be right, no matter what the law says!
if i wanted a certain style of drums i would try to create them my self!' it sounds like some people want to make things real simple for them selfs!
IMO its okej to download free looops and buy sample-Cds, but sample drums from songs sounds very lame..
baahh f**king lamers!
@ tee boy: my pack is more innovative than the 101
