For quantizing, multiply the denominator by 4. 1/4 in Tracktion is a sixteenth note (although this may depend on the time signature, I'm not entirely sure).

Tracktion quantises to beats, not measures. So 1/16 is a 1/16 beat not a 1/16 note. 1/4 beat is probably what you want. The benefit of this is that 1/4 beat is always a 1/4 beat no matter if your in 3/4, 5/4, or 7/4. But it definitely is non standard.

Out of interest, if you're working in 3/4, should you still use 1/4(= 1/16), given that it's '3 quarter beats' and not technically triplets (quantize menu: 1/3, 1/6 etc.)?

Haha, I think Beno answered my question before I had even had time to post...

Which freeze issues?

Or were you looking for the "Render" button..?

:bang:

Can't you get your head around the fact that this would remove all the disk activity benefits of the current freeze? Freezing a synth part in an edit with many audio tracks would make it less likely to play back without glitching, not more.

Can you give me one good reason why rendering isn't a complete solution?
