is better than most soap operas
Yeah, it has very dramatic ups and downs!
wrench45us wrote:may have something to do with interest and anticipation
i can't wait, but i have to wait

Filterscape and Zebra for PC are really the only things I expect to buy this year
:)
wrench45us wrote:if you need PC beta testers I'm sure you'll have many, but I would add my interest
Yeah, stuff is, as long as I havn't got the text input dialogs, there's no chance to unlock it from the demo mode. Hence I'm sure there'll be a *lot* of beta testers soon ;)

Hahaha, it works super fast when using /O2 in a Release build, just like on a G5, but a Debug build without /O2 brings even my Athlon 4000+ down to his knees when moving the editor window. I know you're into Delphi, but do you know if one can use /O2 with debug settings?
Well, as far as I know from my past experiences with VC++ 6, compiling a debug build automatically disables optimizations. But you might try to enable debugging manually for a release build with optimizations.

Check this link for more info:

The MS docs are a bit unclear here though...

Short news:

Saturday 11:30pm

Filterscape isn't as naked as it used to be and it works beautifully in SX2 on my PC :D

Just finished the mousing/windowing/events issues... I've had some fun turning the knobs tonite! Still havn't managed to load the graphics, so it's all vector stuff now, but I'm sure it'll be working tomorrow or so (the code is already there for .bmp, I just have to successfully import .png...).

So, not much missing anymore... contextual menus... the right font... loading/saving presets and preferences, text input... sounds much easier than the hassle I had over the last couple of days ;)

Hehehe, and I havn't managed to crash this so far :P

Cheers,

;) Urs

Smashing news! I am looking forward to Filterscape for the PC, but even more so to the arrival of the Zebra!

It's getting closer and closer!

I'm getting those stupid .pngs to load, and I got the menus working!

Hehehe, the png graphics still look a bit weird because I also trade 24 bit graphics for 32 bit (hence they look a little squeezed...) and I have the ARGB values swapped to RGBA, making it look a bit messy :hihi: - now if I get this fixed tomorrow, I'd call it ready for first round of alpha testing 8)

(and if my flat mate hadn't grabbed the other ethernet cable, I'd already have posted a couple of screenshots!)

;) Urs

Gimme some minutes... I'm burning a backup cd... be prepared for an amazing screenshot :D

The manual is available for download here:

:D

Nevertheless, we'll have to test this thing for quite some time. I'll certainly have to improve some things here and there over the course of the next month(s)... (but as I said, testing will be open to everybody who's interested... uhm, that's at least everybody who posted in this thread :) )

Oki,

here's the procedure:

Everybody who posted in this thread can send me an email (a true email, not just an email using the forum software) to urs@u-he.com with following information:

Message:

- Your full name
- Your KVR member name
- Your PC specs (i.e. PIV 2.4 GHz)
- Your Win version (i.e. XP SP2)

Drat!
Never posted, though I have been following this since, at least, December as I wanted Zebra for X-mas....

Still, if you want to test on a 3.2GHz P4 H/T using LIVE 4.1 as host.....

Here's to hoping, pie in the sky kind thing..

But congrats! It has been a long road, with a lot of interest.

Cheers,
have a beer.
