That's a lot for that one feature.

People say nice things about MicroDicer, I think it's around $50 US. Personally, I'd hate to buy something then have it added in a T2.1 update. That's what kept me from buying anything in T1.6, thinking it would 'of course' be included in T2. It seems like such a standard feature these days.
I think Mackie should have negotiated a bundle deal with one of the beatslicing/timestretching plug vendors. This seems like the only weak spot in T2's feature list IMO.

I agree. Even the lack of a decent featured sampler is answered with bundled plug-ins, with the Bismark soundfont player(which retails at $30) and Sampletank SE. But the time stretch, I believe, should be a priority in a T2.1 or 2.2 update. Maybe after working out initial bugs in the app they will have time to do so.
I do have Live LE, the one that comes with ProTools. I think it's based on V2. Can that do my timestretching now for me if I rewire it in?

that's the cheapest you will get with good quality.

the included Audio Studio is a light version of Samplitude and the time-stretch quality is very good with a lot of options (it's the same algo as in Samplitude) but of course you get much much more for your money (you can use it for mastering, all kinds of audio editing, it can create CD-indexes etc.)

What's the deal with that and Logic, and if it is good, why don't I see many people using is? Is it a worthwhile host?jens wrote:ttoz wrote:http://www.psoft.co.jp/audio/en/product ... index.htmltimmyo wrote:OK, are there any free / cheap apps that one could throw acidised samples in to, stretch / change tempo and export the altered file to use in Tracktion?

that version of Logic is rather old and a bit restricted (no inserts just sends) - although it comes with a few nice synths - and the version of Samplitude has no midi - but for audio-editing, mastering, CD-burning it is killer!braj wrote:What's the deal with that and Logic, and if it is good, why don't I see many people using is? It also has a very good 303emulator (including an advanced step-sequencer as there is no midi) and Robota which is a killer drum-synth/sequencer coded by Digitalfishphones' Sascha Eversmeier...
