i've been reading the Filterscape manual and i don't think anybody has a clue about what a powerful modulating effect is about to be unleashed on the PC side
my long time interest in more feedback machine has grown some very big teeth

More effing great news:
The first *working* version has left the house and resides in the Vstplugins folders of some very brave beta testers - surprisingly (or not?), Filterscape VST Win seems to work pretty well! No crashes so far, nothing unexpected...
I'm gonna add the missing pieces (text input, preset management etc.) within the next few days and build VA/Q6 as well (latter's not much more than just a recompile...). I'm almost certain that the full featured version will be out for testing within less than a week!
I'm very excited about this! - Unless something serious happens, there'll be no need for an overly long beta phase...
Cheers,
Urs

Thanks!YBaCuO wrote:Great news and congratulations.
I'm doing my best! I just won't say how many days a week typically has for me... No, seriously, I think that Filterscape/VA/Q6/Win is due soon!YBaCuO wrote:So, VA/Filterscape next week and Zebra 2 the week after that!?![]()
That's confident! There's a lot of cool stuff out there, but I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointedYBaCuO wrote:I've been saving my money for it ...

Oki, it's Saturday. I had deserved a day off yesterday, only doing some emails and forums stuff
I'm learning more and more about Windows and I can say that all of my primary issues are sorted out. I've just finished a new build of Filterscape. Unless it introduces any new problems, the remaining parts should be implemented pretty quickly!
I decided to add XML support so that the Windows version will even read Audio Units presets (.aupreset). Havn't really started on it, but it can't be to difficult.
I'm still excited how good things run.
Cheers,
Urs

It looks like I'm able to build reasonably complex VST Win. That's pretty important, isn't it?spaceman wrote:so..

Zebra 2 is a task that permanently runs in the background. Once Filterscape Win is up and running, Z2 will shape up very quickly...

Well... I'm getting used to it...shamann wrote:This is all very exciting Urs.
But I have to ask, how do you like developing on Windows?
I do not like the visual experience at all, especially the text rendering in the IDE is hilarious for me. I've switched to a proportional font (Verdana) to accommodate my eyes...
The code completion is wicked! It helps me get around the weird file browsing.
Overall, I find working in XCode much better, but then again, this is what I've worked with all day long for more than 3 years now.
I currently have only one CRT at the PC, but I'm used to a dual screen. So, this is another con, but it's of course a matter of circumstance.
The worst thing for me is the Win32 API and documentation. While the documentation is thorough, I find it hard to find what I'm looking for. I much prefer documented headers that I can just jump to upon "find definition".
But well, all in all it's getting better, and it's much less annoying than I thought...

Can't wait. I want Filterscape Synth on PC!
I have already printed Documentation !
No......... If you just could make a Keel Drum machine for us !
The beta test is currently only for the main plugin. But as the difference between the main plugin and the synth is only a few lines of code, once the main plugin runs perfectly, the synth should be running in a couple of hours
In fact, it's about only missing MidiLearn, mouse wheel support and (built in) preset saving. There are some graphics glitches and minor issues left, but even these should disappear pretty soon...
Cheers,
