Some of the DX effect from Sound Forge(v7) when used in FL Studio(v5) produce (in addition to the effect intself)noise, crackles, clicks. Why?THNX!

Probably not what you want to hear, but that doesn't happen to me with Soundforge 6 and Logic 5.5, so I have to assume it's an issue with Fruity's DX handling.

Does it still happen with other - non Sonic Foundry/Sony - DX effects..?

Come to think of it... Yeah, there are a couple of SF effects that simply don't work at all in Logic (can't remember which ones now). Anyway, I've disabled them so they don't appear in Logic's plugin menu.

So that's why eh..? Not multitrack optimised...

Who would have guessed it..?

Thanks ttoz.

They seem to work OK in ACID and Vegas... last time I checked those were multi-track capable apps.

hey i tried.. but yeah, acoustic mirror for instance, requires a HUGE buffer (hey my answer wasnt too bad, see!!!) and would pprobably not work in FL easily.

Acid and Vegas are different than FL, FL is more geared toward realtime tweaking, (audio buffer goes from 1ms-300ms) and Acid and Vegas for multitrack looping or recording composition. their buffers go up to 1 seconds i believe.

FWIW I had the same issue in Cakewalk Home Studio v2. I haven't really used the plugins much since I set-up my system, but I recall that I could only get them to work using ridiculous latency settings.

I have since bought the sonitus:fx compressor to replace the XFX2 compressor and have had no issues.
