For the developper OF dk+:
CROSS_POST from another forum:
Gee I am rushed for the evaluation!!!!
ABOUT THE bar synced PATTERN CHANGING FEATURE ON CHANNEL 16:
I tried it and it works!
-------------
But there is no visual feedback at all of this feature, you should show current/next pattern somewhere... when I change the pattern playing, I do not see anything to show something have changed. And seeing next pattern is also important, to confirm that yes indeed it is going change to ptrn X after the current one.
I DO NOT SEE THE MUTE/SOLO switches in the available parameter list!!!!! What where you thinking!
Anyway good try, I wish all devs would spend 2-3 days using a groovebox to learn how Roland did it.... Rolling Eyes
------------
BUT I REALLY IS WORKING WELL AUDIO WISE, so it is just a GUI thing really.
The other thing that I do not like, I read it on this forum, is the auto-normalisation of samples.... this should be an option. I have nice samples with dynamics sampled-in, works nice with the RMIV... the word is split on this, some prefer to normalize other don't, and this debatre continues... you shoud offer both options.
You hold a very nice place in VST drumachines, you hold patterns and drumkits and can switch them separatly, you handle pattern change very well audio wise, nice vintage drum samples, SO YOU HAVE MY VOTE AND MONEY!!!!!!
With some GUI upgrades you would have a killer!
END OF OTHER POST
--------
So I got it, can you tell me whant happens after we have paid... I did not received aqnything yet...
Thanks

The Manytone Acoustic Drum Samples for example have the dynamics built into the sets .... Normalizing all is not a Good thing. any chance of a switch or summin' to shut it off if we want?
Other than that ... So far this machine is a Blast.
Thanks Luigi.

Thanks to you Paul,
about normalization, yes I think we could add a switch, but I wonder if you have the dynamics built into the samples then if you switch them by velocity you should have no velocity sensivity on the pad volume, no?
this way you get played back the samples dynamics,
but volume variation will be stepped as per layers number

Yes there is then no need for MIDI velo to volume mdoulation... but in practice it is cool to still have the possibility to use a % of vel mod.... just an extra feature...liqih wrote:

ok, maybe we put the normalization as option in one update,
anwyay it makes much more sense to me, to use the layers for timbre change (soft to hard) AND velocity
for volume changes

To all Tracktion unboxed owners: forget RMIV, forget Battery, forget BFD, this is the tool you need for drums! Price/performance ratio is amazing!
God, I am so sorry I didn't try this sooner (been working with great Stepbeater VST and itchy Loopazoid).
Great sequencer implementation, randomization, quality sampling, nice set of drums. Just added my 505 kit, (best bass drum ever?!
Great work!

too true ... i think im slowly moving away from dr008 to a combo of DK+ and microtonic for my drums (hence spending some time currently doing a skin for DK+) ...mikejade wrote:To all Tracktion unboxed owners: forget RMIV, forget Battery, forget BFD, this is the tool you need for drums!
