Be specific: in my experience, people who say Tracktion is limited haven't understood its true power..Sielsynth wrote: Tracktion is a good program as I stated in my first post. It does however have limitations.

No, its an exponential curve, so T2 is 10x better than T1, and T3 will be 100x better etc..

Boy, I tell you if only half of the people who try Tracktion are as loyal as you guys then Tracktion will soon take over the world!!! Let me say once again that I like Tracktion and have used it for about two years personally and profesionally. I have recommended it to many folks looking for a sequencer and will continue to do so. I feel its one of the easiest programs to use out there. Now, with that said, we all think differently and operate differently. After using Cakewalk programs almost exclusively when I first started producing I left Sonar2 XL for Tracktion. I found Tracktion to be more stable and easier to get going.(for me). I did miss looping(Acid style) support and MTC as a lot of the guys I work with are using MPC-2000s. I really did find ways to get around it. I also found ways to do whatever I needed to do with Tracktion to get my tracks out. I started using Adobe Audition as an audio editor because I liked it's editing tools and DXi support. That said I felt Samplitude V8 to be a good replacement for both tools. I was going to have to buy Audition and pay for the T2 upgrade, so I just went ahead and made the jump. I love it so far. I find somethings easier for me to get done. So what can I say? Tracktion is great and can't be beat for the T1 cost but I found something that works better for me. It's not always a case of something "sounds" better. I have way too much experience to fall into that trap. It works better for me and that's what I need too make money. Nuff Said!!!

Samplitude is a grand retail, right? And T2 is $200 retail, right? So $1000 - $200 is a $800 savings.
Anyway, it's moot. The dude bought Sonar4. Have fun with Samplitude. Glad you like it.
