Hi, Urs.
Midi learn doesn't work on Filterscape VST OSX.
I've tried on Cubase SX3, Live4 and Bidule but none of them
seem to respond to midi learn function.
I've tested AU versions in Live and Bidule and they worked fine.
am I doing something wrong?
Midi learn is right mouse click or ctrl-click, right?

Yeah, bummer!
That was also just discovered in the VST Win beta so I suspect it's a bug in my VST layer. Will fix it asap...
Could you do me the favour and check out if Midi assignments done in the AU are still valid in the VST (after closing the AU host...)? That'd be great to know...
Cheers,
Urs

I've checked AU and VST version in Live and Bidule.
AU version remembers all the midi learn settings.
but after closing AU version and open up
VST and it doesn't recall the AU's midi learn setting.

Ok... it's fixed.
But there are several more fixes in the VST Win version, so I want to wait with the update until I merge the Win stuff back to the Mac, probably next week or so...
Cheers,
Urs

Thanks for this - I wondered why I couldn't get it to work!
When it's working is there some kind of visual feedback in the GUI to show that you're in MIDI learn mode?
My only other tiny feature request is to be able to use the up/down arrow keys to select presets in the load page.
Cheers

Oh... ah, sorry, I was so catched with the Win port and stuff...
I think it should be less than a week from now, because the Windows version is pretty finished.
The up/down arrows will follow in April, along with some other enhancements.
I havn't put in any visual feedback yet, because I first wanted to check out what's possible and what isn't on the dark side. Upon my young experience I'm sure I can work something out.
Well, if you utterly need MidiLearn, I can upload a fixed for you
Cheers,
Urs

OK I answered my own dumb question. Apparently one cannot link a midi control from from the gui using mid learn - only from within the LIVE GUI by opening the plugin's parameter list. But you can record automation of plugin by directly tweaking the gui by mouse.

Oki, I'm compiling them with the latest fixes, but not yet with the enhancements of the Win versions. I'll post them when the compilation process is finished (which unfortunately takes several minutes...)Urs wrote:Well, if you utterly need MidiLearn, I can upload a fixed for you![]()

Now that's what I call speedy service - you're a superstar. I'll report back when I've tried it.

Hehe, I *hope* it works.
Tried them quickly in Tracktion. Made noise. Upload.
And now I'm off for beer, so if they don't work, it has to wait until tomorrow
Cheers,
Urs
