Include jthamamus into it.
Remind me, what does the thalamus addition do?

My understanding is that MIDI out shoudl work even without Thalamus, but I guess for some people it doesn't. :?

If that's the case, it is almost certainly something buggy in my code and I can probably fix it easily enough.

What is the OSX equivalent? If there isn't one, how about a port?
Coffee please, black, no sugar.

Try MidiKeys http://www.manyetas.com/creed/midikeys_beta.html . It works awesome, and shows up as a midi device in any software.

Um, Midikeys doesn't act as a plug-in for T though, should have pointed that out. But it is a great way to use your laptop keyboard as a midi controller.

I guess I better take a little looksee at that then.

I know the nudge transpose thing doesn't work. I'm sure it did, but a just a few seconds playing with it yesterday convinced me that I must have been smoking crack the day I wrote it.

I also had a little trouble relocating the ins/del keys on my keyboard using the editor. I have no idea why though. :?

The general consensus seems to be though that no-one really uses it, but the few that do would greatly appreciate the no-send bug being fixed.

I'll take a look at that tonight then. :)

I actually use it regularly on my Windows laptop (mainly for testing plugins). I could use an OS X version though . MidiKeys can't really compare, since it needs focus (well, you can use modifiers, but not the cool caps-lock trick MKey does, making it kind of complicated) and the keys are mapped in a strange way, without any way to change them (well, I can't see it anyway). I'd imagine it's not exactly a trivial operation to port it though...

I'd be happy to JUCE the plugin, and the keymap editor, if someone could port it to the mac. I wouldn't know where to start personally, as I have no idea how one would go about inserting hooks into OSX.

Well, I wouldn't mind doing the port if were just a case of compiling the code in XCode and fixing any of the usual windows/osx discrepancies. I've no idea how to do the keyboard hook stuff either though. I'm currently struggling with Apple's hopelessly inadequate developer documentation for a project of my own, and I'm not sure I'd be willing to try and work out how to do such an esoteric kind of thing. Well, maybe hopelessly is a bit strong, but it was quite a shock coming to OS X from Windows, where there's a ton of information on the internet as well as Microsoft's comparatively well organised developer pages, to find the only major resource for Carbon programming is Apple's site, with it's bizarre organisation (it took me two days to find the page which walks you through creating a simple window, for example).

hey valley....

I love MKey... but I honestly would like it to be able to make recordings with it... (like in FLStudio) - I know I could use MIDIYoke or summat.... but IF it's possible .... that would be superb....

I would make a nice GUI if you need one, too

I thought JUCE would spit out the plug in crossplatformatucalose

Thalamus can be used in conjunction with Mkey to make recordings.

Hmmm...I'm trying it out and I can't get it to record the midi... I'll try again later. I thought I was reading the instructions right, but I can't get it to record. :bang:

I just like to demand a lot

sorry just kiddin' guys... though it'd still be cool to all have it in one plug
