I beg you please. I mean, we really can't keep going on like this. How unprofessional is it going to be with people logging on to the mackie site after reading promos about t2 and seeing this:
T2 is the first version of the acclaimed software that will be sold "out of the box" in retail stores and will be available in early March 2005.... In addition, there will be special upgrade pricing for existing T1 users. This pricing will be made available along with a Public-Demo download in the weeks following NAMM."
Its past early March 2005, first off. and there wasn't a pricing upgrade available to us T1 users. And there wasn't a public demo, which Beno said was a typo. Why hasn't this been at least corrected and changed to something like:
and will be available in March/May 2005.... There will be a special upgrade price which will be announced during this time as well.
I don't know it just seems so unprofessional and I'm sure everyone who is now reading these articles will go see this neglected site information.

Sorry for trying to ruffle feathers, I'm perfectly happy with T1, but I really wouldn't mind some professionalism, accuracy, and clarity from the company who is making money from us all.

Sorry,
RonC

I must say I have to agree - and they fixed the typo about the 'Clavinet simulator' but Z3 is still a'83 simulator' (which b.t.w. makes it clear that the site is designed by someone who hasn't got a clue about anything music related and has been given some hand-written sheets - else he wouldn't have been confusing a 'B' with a '8' ) - I would think while they're wating for Jules to iron out the last bugs they should have enough time to fix the site

I don't care about when it comes out or any of that, but I think they should either have removed the line about "check back for more new things every week" or better yet, given us a little more detail and info every week. It's been many weeks now and nothing new there, eh?

nice philosophical phrase - but what has it got to do with the thread? :?

My wife works for a web development company. Recently she's worked on a motorbike website. She doesn't know anything about motorbikes. Out in the real world, this is how website development works, people who know how to design websites are given content to put up, by people who don't know how to make websites.

What's your point caller?

I think the point is, please keep your customers up to date.

You'd be utterly amazed how many companies don't update their websites on a daily basis in case some kid who drunk too much tartrazine may have already read the content that's there. Amazed. Astounded.

Or perhaps you wouldn't, if you had half a brain.

but seriously: I spotted the mistake in a fragment of a second - shouldn't be to hard to tell the web-designer to fix it, or what do you think?

see it like this: 100% of the current T customers bought it from an internet-site so the internet-site currently is the shop - an internet site with mistakes is imo the same as a super-market with dirty windows and a dirty floor ;-)

b.t.w.: having a bad day again, Chico? :-)

Still persisting with the "Check back every week" line too - well I have and it hasn't changed for weeks.

I find myself in total agreement with Ronc (another lie down needed  )
