You'd be utterly amazed how many companies don't update their websites on a daily basis in case some kid who drunk too much tartrazine may have already read the content that's there. Amazed. Astounded.

Or perhaps you wouldn't, if you had half a brain.
You'd be amazed to learn that there are super-simple content management solutions that most competent businesses use to update their sites. Often it is the project or marketing manager that posts the actual content. The web developer just makes the framework.

Just so ya know.

I think the point is, please keep your customers up to date.
For once I agree with rpc. The customer relationship management from Mackie/Tracktion stinks. Maybe I'm just used to small developers who keep in touch and keep their customers up to date, but this whole thing about T2 is just ridiculous, and rather than building loyalty I think it builds mistrust. f**k, give us some updates, let us know if there are delays, etc. Why string us along? I just bought a new host because I had no idea when T2 was really coming out and I needed to work NOW. Had someone from Mackie given me something to go on I might have waited.

That's irrelevant.
It's not HER work to know anything about motorbikes, but it is what editors/ content supervisors are for. The same way the site owners probably don't know anything about site development - that's yor wife's job.

Mackie can fix the site easily, if they mind how such errors make them look. They probably don't. In the real world it's called: "not giving a f**k" AKA amateurism.

No matter how you put it, chico, outdated websites always appear unprofessional. Keeping the content up to date is the 1st rule of web marketing.

I don't want to be disenchanted with Mackie, whatsoever. I want to be completely trusting. You're all right, lack of content update is making us lose trust. Even before, when they posted that joke picture of t2 notes, I felt like it was VERY unprofessional. Maybe they're short staffed or something and only one person does the website updates?

I loved the "Helicopte Note"!

I find that sort of easy-going humour part Mackie the Brand's charm. They succeed in making top gear, but not being boring like the competition. Their magazine ads kick ass.

I agree! :-D

whatever dude...

I know we are all entitled to our opinions, but I'd have to say this is the one thing I love about the mackie/tracktion combo. Mackie embraced the oddness that has always been associated with Tracktion... definately a good move. If you are going to be sheep.. at least be the black sheep damnit!

Joke pictures are great. Not updating their site with new material when the site specifically requests you to check back weekly? Not great.

I guess I see your point... Sorry for diverting from the topic. So nonetheless, we need updates. We need to figure out how we're going to be able to pay for the upgrade, etc etc. I just really wish someone from mackie would chime in or take authority in this aspect.

I agree 100%. I think it is obvious that most of everyone here also agrees. The question is will Mackie step up and communicate. This can't be good for them, and I can imagine that Jules hands are tied. I bet he reads these threads and gets very frustrated, knowing he can't do anything about it. This is his baby.

No, but I notice when sites aren't updated for a month when they imply they will be. I notice when release dates are in the past but no product is on the shelf.

*Edit* ModuLR, I think a more appropriate response from someone appointed by Mackie to moderate this forum would be, "Gee, yeah, that should be updated. Let me talk to Beno." Not a dismissal of the issue.
