Sorry dude, but it was the wrong way to treat a customer. What if I called a sales rep and asked them a question and got insulted? Every person in an organization selling a product is a sales rep whether the know it or like it.

I steer people towards Tracktion all the time, every opportunity I have to those who might be interested. I'll feel a bit less enthusiastic from now on.

He's probably wondering if you sold T1. Maybe he thinks you wasted money, is all. I don't think it was an insult.

Nope, if that were the case he would have addressed the question. He was saying "You sold T, you aren't my customer so why are you here?" Essentially.

I'd just like a 'sorry, that wasn't cool. My bad' from Beno.

personally, I thought it was a joke... and I think you're reacting to this way too seriously. Especially since your questions is rather silly. Especially when you know first hand how tight lipped they are about things...

if this were FL, gol would have ripped you one, then banned you. :hihi: Now that's customer service.

Yeah, your initial post was a joke, and Beno was just replying in kind. You know he's just going to say "soon", so what's the point getting all worked up over it?

Yeah, I'm over it.

reading it again I guess you are right - it probably was meant as a light-hearted joke... :-)

I'm not sure about that, I'd still like an acknowledgment that whatever he wrote was poorly phrased. And an answer to my original question would be nice :D

Actually, reading this again Beno, I think you need to be rebuked. That's no way to represent T or Mackie. A past and potentially future customer makes an inquiry about your product and you basically make an insult and don't answer the question? What's your supervisors name?
Sorry braj, I didn't mean it as an insult. It really was meant as a joke. I appologize if it was taken in any other way. I also was serious in that I couldn't remember if you were the one that had sold it or if it was someone else. It was a leading question because I was interested in seeing why you were so interested; if there was a particular feature in T2 that might bring you back to the fold. Again sorry if I was misunderstood.

That's what I figured, that he just really wanted to know the answer to it.

Thanks, Beno. I'm waiting for a better timestretch or for beatmapping to be implemented. I essentially want to do 99% of everything from within my host, not relying on external plugs for this sort of editing/functionality. I use Live right now as my primary host, but no freeze and some other little issues have me looking for another main host.

Cool braj. That's kind of what I expected. We definitely know timestretch is lacking in tracktion and it is on the list of things to revamp. It just won't make it into T2.0
Thanks,
Ben

This is good news! Personally, I don't need timestretching right now, butI know that many do. And knowing that it will probably make it into a 2.1 or whatever release is great! Thanks for your hard work Beno!
