Can you route one tracks output to the input of another track? in other words
I want to pan track 1 full left, track 2 full right and set the output
to track 3. When I do this, track 3 does not play tracks 1 and 2 even though the output for those tracks is clearly sent to track 3, I can't figure out or find reference in the manual how to get track 3 to play the stereo composite of the other two tracks. Is there a way to do this?

thanks,

greg

I really wanted to say NO, but it works here at the Muppet Labs. At least using two audio tracks it does. Each 'sending' track hard-panned left & right respectively and sent to a third track, whose output is sent to a normal audio output. Will try it with MIDI.

Yep, works with MIDI tooo....So it's a fully functional panorama here. Did you check for Solo / Mute status?

did you make sure your 3rd track is routed to your default audio outputs? Try forcing it to the right outputs, even if it says default already. Sometimes I have to do this with my SBLive running the KX Drivers - I have to send a track to the right ASIO pair, even though that pair is set to default.

There is also that whole end-to-end thing which I don't necessarily understand.

:?

I do that kind of stuff all the time..

Check that tracks 1 & 2 are both routed to 3, and 3 is routed to an audio output.. if that doesn't work something is wrong!

Great! thanks all. It works now. I must've sabotaged it by muting the output or something like that. Or maybe I just needed to know it could be done...
