Jules features in an interview in CM85 and said he may be working on a "fun little audio app" and a "much bigger and ambitious audio project that is still in the back of an envelope stage"...

Tracktion 2 was awarded full marks by CM...10 out of 10...!

CM - "...a total stunner"

Post

Of course it is! ;)

(course that won't stop SOME people from whining)

He's probably referring to this Soundbasket thingy:

I would like to see a groovy little Wave-Editor - ideally with CD-burning capabilities. And then again, to my taste he could implement those features right into Tracktion ;-)

or just do both ... so you can access these features in T but if (and god knows why) you prefer another sequencer you can still grab the standalone editor ...

Ah good! I'd better buy a copy of CM, then! (hey, shouldn't I get free copies of that?? I mustn't be blagging hard enough..)

No, it's actually something much more interesting, but secret. (Though we probably will do SoundBasket too, as soon as philip gets out of bed and finishes off the stuff he needs to do for it).

Oi, Julian? "back of an envelope"? I spent weeks on that proposal... what size are your bloody envelopes?

The "fun little audio app" is going to be really cool though...

Wow...! I didn't think the Jules and Phillip will drop in as well... :D

Here's some more...

CM ..."Loop recording is now fully realised for audio and MIDI.Tracks can be stacked or combined facilitating fast composition of beats,"

Is that something like this..?
http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/comp-demo.htm

"...or easy compiling of a number of audio recordings into the perfect take.."

CM Verdict
+ It's Tracktion...
+...with a better MIDI editor
+...And auxilliary sends and returns
+Super slick

"Nice one Mackie! Just as intuitive as version 1, but improved in all the right places."

The funniest quote in the whole review was this for me..."Oh well full marks then."

Jules half page interview is on page 14 the Tracktion 2 review is on page 84. 8)

Ah, I love a good rumour.

Of course, the real plan is to spread a rumour that I'm working on something secret, then wait for lots of people to make guesses about what it might be.. then I'll just pick the best idea and pretend I thought of it in the first place.
