More epointz user name confusion.

Just a note to let you know that esoundz has been correctly updated and ePointz referral credits have been assigned for each of you who joined the last Group Buy and requested them.

Robert, thanks for clearing all this up. This is the first I've heard mention that epointz would no longer be part of the group buys. I can understand why they will no longer be included, but Squids had said that there would be epointz for the Sonic Capsules group buy. It seems this is a clear offer to give us a "bargain" and clearly states that he was encouraging us to "spread the word". That's the spirit that I did what I did to help the group buy along, and why I pressed the issue of the epointz. Hopefully the epointz that everyone gets are not limited to those who sent you an email, saying they didn't get them. There is a definate implication that we "earn" our epointz in exchange for our efforts to pass the word about how great the company is.It is the people of the GROUP that determine the price depending on how involved you get. The more you spread the word to people that use any of those sample formats mentioned above the more chance of getting it cheaper. On top of that you can ask that they use your eSoundz user name as a referal and you both get $5. in ePointz. Rack up enough ePointz to get up to $50. at a time which you can spend on this group buy OR on downloadable sounds which are being opened on esoundz this coming week! Then it regenerates after you spend the $50 credit and the more people refer you the more you get. ePointz have a whole new meaning now that we'll have downloadable sounds to pick up.

Thanks for the reference to Squids' quote. Part of the initial decision to not include referral credits in Group Buys has been the development time associated with providing the functionality, something we did not foresee when initially presenting the automated Group Buy system. Knowing that we had a powerful new Group Buy to offer, we decided to launch the system as is and clarify the new rules. Our error was of course not properly updating the esoundz website to reflect the change, which is what this topic has been about. You've certainly made a sound argument (play on words intended) for incorporating the referral functionality into later Group Buys. I'll keep you posted on our decision.
Keep in mind that ePointz are still fully applicable to Group Buys. Only referral credits are excluded and they are only excluded for Group Buys.
Speaking of development time, I want you to be aware that the scale of upcoming esoundz offering (downloadable soundz) has grown tremendously as we have clarified what we are capable of offering. As a result, we are upgrading the entire systems infrastructure of esoundz.com including the acquisition of additional servers and bandwith. This will add an additional week or 2 to our anticipated downloadable esoundz offering. But we know it will be worth the wait!

I'm in on the current group buy - the Grand Piano Refill - and I have received $5.00 in ePointz after emailing you guys (eSoundz). However, I was told that I need to find out who else referred me if I want to get any more ePointz that should be coming my way. My question/suggestion is this - since there are only 23 (as of this post) people signed up so far, wouldn't be relatively easy to send out an email to everyone signed up explaining the ePointz mixup and ask if they had referred anyone when ordering. I'm not as bent out of shape about this as this post makes it sound, but I did advertise this on the PHead forums by asking to refer to me and that we'd both get ePointz. My concern is that people may have signed up and referred to me thinking they would get ePointz and now they won't and they won't know why.
Anyway, its not that big of a deal and if I lost out on some ePointz then oh well I'll still get a great refill at a great price, but I'm not going to put myself in the position of pestering people who may have referred to me to let me know if they referred to me because of a mistake that was not my doing.
I enjoy your products and will continue to use them and buy future products (especially if there is a Squids' Tron Collection Vol.2

esoundz.com will now send you an email notification each time a customer places an order and refers you. The email message will let you know how many ePointz you earned for the referral, how many ePointz you now have as a result, and the user name of the esoundz customer who referred you.

I'm not trying to be a rabble-rouser or anything I just didn't want anyone who might have referred me coming back to me and asking why they didn't get the points I said they would get.
I appreciate that you have taken an active stance on this issue, and I really enjoy your products - esp. Squids' Tron Collection which I rave about whenever I get the chance (such as right now). I know my original post made it sound like this whole thing was the end of the world - instead of posting stream of conscience style, I should have reflected a little on what I should say.
I think it is great that you guys have this forum and maintain such immediate contact with your customers (even grumpy guys like me).
Sorry if my post was confrontational. Didn't mean to sound like a jackass but it is so hard to communicate "intent" and "tone" over the net sometimes.
Anyways - all's good and my apologies for the tone I took in my post

Update:
We have reinstated ePointz referrals in Group Buys. You can now enter referral name when signing up for a Group Buy. When the Group Buy is processed (after the final date), applicable referral credits will be assigned, in just the manner they are for regular (non-group buy) orders.
You will receive an email message for each person who refers you confirming your ePointz.
We will be updating our customer order history system to reflect your referrals (the names and applied ePointz for other members you referred when placing your order) so you can track the referrals you have made. We expect to have this addition available sometime in the next week.

Update: from this point forward, ePointz referrals are recorded with your order and will be visible when you view your order history. View your order history, and click on the specific order and you'll see the details for the order in addition to the specific results of any ePointz referrals you made.

Hey, we make these kinds of features for you to get something out of it. We're happy everyone has embraced the epoitz system and make good use of it for themselves and others. It works for us too in the big picture. Rob's great. He really cares and he is the master of esoundz who gives it new features every week even under the hood and you'd never know (such as a whole new server capable of handling downloadable sounds by the thousands). We've made a commitment to make esoundz just get better and better until it explodes and you can't avoid it.
