What's the parameter? It's either 1 of hundreds of possible errors or it's because your system can't function without T2.
Checklist time:
16 bit (no 24 bit files)
44.1 kHz.
stereo wav (standard PCM format)
Files NOT open in another app?
Winduhs glitch/driver issue?
Burner is toasted?
Can you burn data disks ok?
Can you burn other wav files ok?
Can you burn more time not thinking about when T2 arrives?
Can't get EAC to burn on my system either. Nero works fine, tho. But everything will work better when T2 arrives....What a long weekend it's going to be. Happy turboshooting.

From what I understand from a couple different MEs on another forum, Nero does burn Redbook CD-A but doesn't print out the PQ (cue) sheet needed if you're going to press a run. They're not hard to do manually.
I recently picked up Sony CD Architect 5.0 and it is the bomb. Sells retail for $200 but can be purchased as a download right from Sony for $112.00

Or if you can get a student discount, $99 for the boxed version.

The hard copy manual is very helpful and you don't have to print out the 89 or so pages.
Does everything needed plus some with a suite of sony plugs. Dx, but I use the wrapper and they work in Tracktion. Will also do hidden tracks at the start of the CD. Only app I know that can do that.
It's the cat's meow in my opinion.

Sony CD Architect 5.0 sounds cool, but more than I want to spend right now (that'll change next week though!
).
Yes, I was able to burn a data CD. Perhaps I had other programs running, but I remember rebooting and that didn't help. Oh well.
How will T2 solve my problem? It'll burn CD's? If so....cool!

T2 won't burn a CD, but it will make all steps upto burning a CD way more pleasant.FoxV wrote:How will T2 solve my problem? It'll burn CD's? If so....cool!
So you can burn a data CD. That's good. But can you burn any kind of audio disk? Or is it a problem with only a few files? What is the error? Is pre or post burn?
So many questions, so few answers...

I'll back him up here - CDs are broken into 75 frames per second, and to ensure you get continuous audio, the tracks must be broken on the boundary of each frame otherwise you will get a gap of up to 13mS. The size of the resulting gap and the sound that is playing at the time will help determine whether or not the gap is audible. Of course, you may have been lucky in the past and broken the track right on the boundary!platinumears wrote:You sure about that?Tim Brackett wrote: If you cut the file into tracks in Tracktion though the spaces between tracks may change slightly. If there is any audio at all at the split you will get a pop as the tracks change.

I can't burn any audio disks. It's not just specific files, but any files (of the ones I've tried so far). I have no probs with data disks.
It's a pre-burn issue. In fact, the disk doesn't get touched so far as I can tell, and I can still us it for data burns.

Just downloaded MusicMatch to see if it would burn a CD for me. No luck. Hmmm...any ideas on what I might try?
(Many thanks!)

Here's what Window's Media Player tells me:
0xC00D11AB: Cannot copy files to recordable disc
Windows Media Player cannot copy the selected files to the CD-R or CD-RW disc. To fix the problem, do one or more of the following:
Clean the disc and ensure that it is not damaged.
Select a slower recording (write) speed.
Try a different brand of CD-R or CD-RW disc.
Quit other programs.
To select a slower recording speed
On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Devices tab.
In Devices, double-click the name of the CD-R or CD-RW drive, and then click the Recording tab.
In the write-speed list, select a slower speed.
Error ID = 0xC00D11AB, Condition ID = 0x00000000

You using XP? Perhaps you need to disable XP's own CD burning features?

Where your files are can make a difference on how fast you can burn. Your burner should be on different IDE channel than the hard drive you are burning from and it is safer to burn from and image file than direct from the original files, unless of course you have a Plextor drive. Audio disks have to recorded sequentially and all in one shot. If you system configuration can't provide that uninterupted stream there will be missing data making snapping noises, unless of course you have a plextor drive. Data disks can deal with fragmented data. Your software must have already checked the speed of your system.

What burner and model? Does it have 'Disk at Once' capability?
