Any chance that you all might, sometime in the future offer a more affordable, less feature-rich version of Receptor?
Basically my idea of it would be the same box w/ all the same ports. Just some of the functionality disabled.
Of course you could still purchase the upgrade "key" to download the fully fuctional O.S?
The reason I ask is that It could at least get MORE people "in the door" & using Receptor while being able to spread out the investment to the fully functioning unit over-time.
And, It may help to sway folks who would rather purchase a second P.C. by offering a financial insentive...

..and which functions would you let being disabled ? I can't imagine this idea could work... RECEPTOR doesn't have that many functions, menus etc...Gymnopedies wrote: Basically my idea of it would be the same box w/ all the same ports. Just some of the functionality disabled.

I just wanted to say: it really depends on the plugin how many functions you have for editing etc...
RECEPTOR has (in relation) quite a few optiones and menus but that's exactly the thing what makes RECEPTOR unvincible I think...

I guess one way would be to have it simply a "preset" machine. No Editing of the plugins..just using presets. So all your presented with is the mixer screen.

But then, this whole concept wouldn't really make sense (to me). Why buying RECEPTOR for using preset sound of (a limited number of) plugins ?! Then I'd simply take a ROMpler e.g. by ROLAND for the so-called bread&butter sounds - that's it. Well, I'm glad having a "full working" RECEPTOR
by the way: @Tim (and all others:)
did you already try "P-600" ?! very interesting and useful...
