apart from the fact they're both trackers or tracker-based, there's nothing to compare. Renoise is not modular but it's tracker a f**k of a lot easier to use that Buzz'.. not the mention the million other features
Renoise kicks serious ass
Yes, it rocks!kara wrote:Does Renoise does anything that Buzz can't do ?

But seriously, Renoise is way more intuitive to use and far more stable. There is something about Renoise that makes you instantly creative, which (for me at least) doesn't happen with Buzz. Try the demo and find out yourself.
Well, I don't see much point in comparing Buzz and Renoise in terms of features and specs, as the main difference is in the workflow. To me, Buzz is cumbersome to use while in Renoise I can get my stuff done really fast (and it's not that I get lost in modular routing, it's the way pattern data and automation is presented and edited).kara wrote:Try the demo and find out yourself ???
Not exactly the answer I was looking for.
If that is the kind of answers you get on forums there is no meaning anymore for forums ! The goal of forums is to have opinions of other users.
I'm a musician, which means I can't spend days on testing some software, just for the sake of it or (perhaps) come to the conclusion that I allready have the equivalent.
So, I tought it was logic to ask the question and have some answers who know both of them.

You want an opinion? - Renoise is the best tracker on the market, and whilst it probably can't do much that buzz can't already do, its MUCH more stable, easy to use and has features that put it way out in front of most other trackers i know, and i've tried nearly all of them.
Stuff like - record pattern or section of pattern to new sample slot, apply VST fx chain destructively to a sample, context sensitive right-click menus, very easy curve automation of any parameter on any synth or FX, great set of included FX and so on. Also can mixdown every track to a seperate file for mastering in another app, and can import MP3 samples by using a 3rd party codec.
