At the moment, empty pads light up when they are clicked, but loaded ones do not.

I think this should be the other way round - i hope it can be changed.

yes we are aware of that, the problem is that when
a pad is loded you can use the click on pad to send midi note on for step recording in your VST Host,
and of course midi gets priority over GUI stuff,
and the pad may light up or not,

it can be a slighly annoying visual issue which we will fix, but audio and midi features should work perfectly
