when I open a song in logic 7, zebra always show "factory" in the bank select field, not the bank that I used when I saved the song. And most of the times I read "cosmic raindrops and bubbles" in the preset select field, which is of course not correct.
???
best regards,
Peter

Hiya,
I know that this is weird, but I can hardly help it
When Logic saves a song, it asks the plugin for its current preset. So, this is just the preset, nothing else. It does not contain any file locations.
So, when you open the gui, there's no way for the preset manager to know where the current preset originally came from. Thus, the preset manager always starts with its default bank, which is Factory. Now it tries to find the current preset within the Factory folder. If it can't, it doesn't know what to do and displays the first preset within Factory as an option.
However, I see the point that this is confusing. I might come up with a fix that displays the current preset name even though it's not in the Factory folder...
Cheers,
Urs
