We haven't "lost" him. He's still here the way he always has been, but with the exception that his user base has gotten significantly larger, and he has been focusing on finishing T2. It's typical of any developer as these things happen.

Mackie has been good for Jules. They have a budget for marketing that Jules never could have, and they've helped with time issues by giving Jules more time to code radical features! So no worries, it'll be ok!

PS- I know you're kind of kidding, but I know many here really think that Mackie has screwed Jules, and without reason.

Just curious what these may be. Do you mean 'radical' in the surfer dude way, or radical as in a divergence from the norm. Because T2 doesn't look to be 'radical' to me, more a bunch of tweaks to get it into the mainstream.

Tracktion 1 was already radical. I don't know that T2 is offering anything revolutionary the way that T1 did. It's just that the revolution continues. :D

RMS on its own would not have been able to place 4-page ads in EQ, so I say Mackie's doing quite a job alongside him or on his behalf. I think it's a great match so far.

I was kind of just using "radical" as an expression. I'm aware that the features we've heard about aren't groundbreaking, although several of them are really fantastic. But the sheer amount of features will be radical, if it's anything like they are advertising. 128 new features is huge for any software, even if several of them are smaller, less useful features.

Anyway, radical dude!

If anything the Mackie deal was worth the inclusion of Final Mix for free. It's a fantabulous plug-in.

Post

I'll second that. Finalmix really makes T1 the best 80$ I ever spent on software. Personally I love Mackie, I'm just worried that they will push it too far price-wise
Think before you think before you speak

Kinda sucks when you don't really need any of the plugins though. I'd love a downloadable version without the bundle at a reduced price.
