Any plans to support these?

1. Ivory by Synthogy
2. Vintage Instruments plugin by Scarbee
3. PMI Bosendorfer 290 plugin.
Support for #2 would send me grabbing for my credit card. I suspect I'm not the only one. I strongly urge the fine folks at Muse to contact Scarbee and look into this. It is a vst compatable collection of Scarbees outstanding electric piano samples. I know it uses a form Halion as its core and that there is a USB dongle involved, so I'm guessing that it won't be supported out of the box, but a Receptorized version would be tres cool.
Anybody running these samples on the Kontakt player in Receptor?
#3 might already work for all I know.
#1 is currently mac only, so we'll have to wait for
the Windows version.

Have you tried Dash Signatures EVE? ( Electronic Vintage Ensemble) You get it free with Receptor with just excellent EPiano's and new soundsets you can get for it ( including The MiniMoog and Evalon)

If you are using 2GB of RAM try this with Kompakt, it may work:
Open to the Kompakt Edit View
Select Options > DFD
Set Preload Buffer Size to: 432
Set Voice Buffer Size to: 528
Click Apply
We are wsoking on increasing the support and performance for the larger Sample libaries.

#1 and #3) As you said Ivory is currently Mac only. They say that they will release a Windows version this year. When that happens we will try it.PhilAiken wrote:1. Ivory by Synthogy

We are working with Native Instruments to support Kontakt, but it's too early for a release date. We are also looking at supporting the Boesendorfer 290 plug-in from East West (that is the one that uses a Kompakt player).
In the mean time Receptor owners can use a variety of piano sample libraries with Kompakt. We tried all the pianos from PMI, including the Boesendorfer 290 and they all work. These are Kontakt sample libraries that open with Kompakt.
There are two Boesendorfer 290 products, one is a product from East West with the Kompakt player, the other is a Kontakt sample library directly from PMI. Both of these products use the same samples from PMI, they are only packaged differently. The second can be used right now with Receptor.
There are other pianos from PMI like "The Old Lady" (a Steinway Model D), "The Emperor" (another Boesendorfer), a Yamaha C7, and an Estonia piano. They all work in Receptor with Kompakt. My favorite is "The Old Lady," it sounds incredible.
PMI also has great harpsichord, baroque organ, pianoforte, and other sample libraries. We shipped a bunch of special order Receptors with several PMI libraries pre-installed to be used in a "Historical Music Keyboard" class. They even include a John Cage-style prepared piano library.
#2) The problem is that Vintage Instruments plugin by Scarbee uses Halion. Right now the only Steinberg plug-in we support is the free Karlette. There are technical issues with supporting the Steinberg copy protection and also business issues like striking a deal with Steinberg. We are working on it, but it is much more likely that we will have support for Kontakt and Elektrik Piano before supporting Steinberg plug-ins.
BTW, I installed the demo version of the Scarbee Vintage Keyboards FX and it seems to work fine. I wonder if the full version would work as an unsupported plug-in. We should contact Scarbee.
Like with the pianos above you have other options for electric pianos with Receptor. "Lounge Lizard EP-2" is a great product from Applied Acoustic Systems. It is not a sample library; it uses physical modeling and it sounds great.
I also think that "Scarbee R.S.P. '73" and "Scarbee W.E.P." would work just fine with Receptor. However, we have not tested them yet, but so far any Kontakt library we tested worked.
So even though we do not support the exact products you are enquiring about, there are many alternatives that might satisfy your requirements.

Thank you so much.

Plug-ins from Native Instruments including sample libraries that use the Kompakt on Kontakt player need a special installer. They do not work simply by copying the VST plug-in in the "Unsuported Plugins" folder.
An installer for the Boesendorfer 290 will be available with the 1.3 version of the Receptor software. !.3 beta should be available soon.

We did once consider to do a special 16 bit LIVE EDITION of Scarbee Vintage Keyboard Collection for Kompakt - to use with recepetor. However it will take months to do and we don't want to do this for just a few paying customers - if you know what I mean...
WEP and RSP73 sample libraries already works for Kompakt and I guess VKFX also works fine - new version uses simple serial number authorization.
Also we would completely sacrifice our copyprotection of the Halion player version this way and that is not so cool. Lately we have seen Korg (Legacy update)and IK Mutltimedia (Miroslav) joining the Syncrosoft dongle and this offcourse give us a hint that other companies follow this dongle road and we can hope this encourage MuseResearch and Steinberg to make Halion 3 and Halion player work in receptor.
I will do what I can to convince Steinberg/Syncrosoft to look into this.
