EZpoly Anyone know how to make it start in the same place

I have an 8 beats in a bar and ezpoly has 8 dials to adjust the tone of each note.
So I lay down 8 short notes all in the same key and then adjust ezpolys dials to create something repetetively interesting.
Now lets say that I want to end on 4 beats which means that we haven't made it to the 8th beat. When I play the full song it always starts 4 beats out of sync.
Do I explain this in a way humans can understand?
So how do I get it to start on the first note everytime.
