More DK+ questions

hi liqih,

1) why does the "Follow" function reset whenever i use the mouse to select a pattern? if it is on, it should stay on until i turn it off.

2) can you explain how i should expect the "black (Next) selector" for indicating the-next-pattern-to-switch-to-after-the-current-one-completes to work?

i can make no sense of it, as sometimes it works for pattern A, almost always works for pattern B, and never works for any other pattern. there seems to be no rule that i can detect.

welllll...yes it makes sense from that perspective.

but i also like to watch the patterns play while i'm building/testing/reviewing them and it would be nice to be able to use the mouse for this. so i can switch patterns and watch them using just the mouse, and not have to reach for the keyboard while i'm editting/reviewing. nor have to click "follow" again everytime i click a different pattern.

perhaps an option to "Always follow" in the preferences dialog? i can see a need for both methods, depending on what you are doing...

I asked about the Follow button early on. Guess it's all in how you say it...

Excuse my ignorance, I'm sort of diving in here blind.

My DAW was down during the GB but I bought on past experience. Tonight is the first time I've installed DK+ and the updates (1.06 - d/loaded tonight).

I have got 2 files, 1 looks normal but won't show and the less memory one. Another thread said this would be changed? If not which do I use?

EDIT: Latin Funk was from GrooveMonkee, accidently put in same file as DK+. [SOLVED]

I would like a way to paste patterns in host. Drag and Drop doesn't work in Orion, how about a 'Copy Page (or Pattern) to Track' option or button?

Been playing for an hour or two now and having some fun with this. Some great feautures, great sounds. I can see me digging this out first over my others.

use the one that works for you untill next update

you should use export to SMF option in Pattern menu,
right click on Pattern button,

then import the MIDI file in your host

DOH!!! Didn't even try right clicking on the patterns!!! And yes, for once I have read the manual. :shame:
