I was pissed off at all these hoax threads, not finding them least bit funny anymore...

...and then I saw the announcement

the good ole wolf, wolf, wolf-trick caught me big time.

It was specifically discussed that most of the features are NOT obvious ones, Ron. You can't "see" broadcast .wav export, and nor does the 64-bit mixing mode make your tracks glow mystical blue. If you want obvious changes, look no further than the MIDI editor, or set some in/out markers, select 'loop' and record some audio.

Has anyone tried it on win98se yet?

I'm really enjoying the step sequencer, Midi isn't perfect but a whole lot better and I could definitely work with it now, the GUI is much nicer for me (using Multree's Cream) and seems much more spacious. CPU use is nice and low, as always. I like the send/returns. There are probably gobs of little things I won't notice since I've been living in Live and Logic for months now. I'm sure Valley could point out some finer points.

Thank you for being so predictable. In a world of chaos, it's good to know that some things don't change. :D

Yay! Just printing out the manual on work's laser jet :)

Can't wait to go home to try the demo, do I have to uninstall T1 though, as not 100% sure I even need to upgrade - just following the geek flock :P

What happened to the clip colors; we lost the rainbow...
And the vaunted key mapping still won't let you have one key for stop and return and another for stop and stay (pause).
(Was that so much to ask for?)
And what, 64 bit mixing *doesn't* make tracks glow blue?

Just install to a different folder, which it should do automatically. C/Program files/Tracktion2.

I don't think so.. I had the T2 beta installed alongside T1 for a couple of weeks till that computer died (not related!) so you should be ok.

Err, sure it does. Just click on the + sign on the key mappings page. There's one entry for start/stop playback, and also separate entries for both start and stop.
