Hiya,
it's Friday, time for an update
I havn't done much in the last week as I'm pretty busy preparing for MusikMesse... well, and I badly needed some rest...
However, I've merged all sources from the PC (which were quite a bit advanced over the Mac version...) back to the Mac project. Now they're all identical again, and I can finally move on with features and those small bugs that were discovered lately...
The concepts for Zebra 2 continue to gather shape! I can't wait to implement the new stuff:
- souped up effects section (at least an EQ and maybe a dynamics processor)
- new Oscillator types (FilterscapeVA's Warp parameter anyone?)
- Additive Synthesis souped up (Warp parameter again... you'll see...)
- alternative tunings
- Fall|Rise parameter on envelopes
- some secret stuff in the filters section
Cheers,
Urs

Oh yeah, the wait...
But Filterscape has certainly made it a lot easier to wait for Z2, now hasn't it.
But that was the first reason for following this blog...Filterscape was just a happy surprise!
Cheers.
Beers.

Good news:
I have developed a small synth for MusikMesse (well, basically a stripped down FilterscapeVA with a lot of stuff thrown away...). First I did AU, a couple of hours later I had VST Mac and 20 minutes after that I had VST Win. - I'm baffled. This works better than expected!
So, no one must be scared if future u-he software will be "Mac first PC later". It's only a question of minutes
Now wish me luck... I'll be on the road to Frankfurt tomorrow for the 4 most stressful days of the year!
Cheers,
Urs

So what's the word from Frankfurt? I realize that you are incredibly busy at the moment, but I'm eager to hear about the reception you are getting. And we need a BEER report!!

Also, will this small, multi-format synth be available to the general public?
Seriously, have an awesome show and a great birthday!

Hiya folks,
I've just had that loooong sleep back home after 6 hilariously short nights.
Actually the second coffee just hits my mind... that's good - real strong black coffee
The Messe went pretty well and I can honestly say that all plugins got the perception and wows they deserved.
That Podolski Messe freebee actually generated a mind blowing feedback. It's still a bit beta-ish, and I'll make a decision on its future later this week. There are a couple of options, such as "free for existing customers", "free on a magazine CD", "donation ware / cheap ware entry level synth". I must evaluate that carefully as this synth is muuuuch greater than I expected. - People looked at me in sheer disbelief when I told them it was on the CD for free
Especially the *punchy* filter got its Ahhhhs and Ohhhhs... it's basically a stripped down version of the filter from the Filterscape plugin... Looks like I gotta add that to bothe FilterscapeVA and to Zebra...
Oki... I come back later, gotta keep up with a ton of emails and forum posts...
Cheers,
Urs

Hey dano,
it took this week off, mostly... needed a break...
However, I've started to fix a couple of bugs in the engine, so expect the final release of Filterscape Win, accompanied by an update of Filterscape Mac before any news on Z2...
Cheers,
Urs

A WEEK OFF!!!...man when I was your age I never took time off....I worked 80 hour work weeks and then went to my second job as a bus boy on night shift just so I could afford cloths for my babies backs and put meat on the table once a week. Walked uphill to work both ways..... man, young punks these days.....it took this week off, mostly... needed a break...
no worries Urs.... just curious!
