Shift-drag a node to move all subsequent nodes together..

Also you can now insert gaps into tracks, and the automation will move with it.

ahaaa - yes i see - the shift drag is coolish - the insert space is way cool - works if you've got multiple automation lanes for the same plug in as well - simple way to do it as well really - glad i can say something truly & dfinitively positive at last :D

how can i insert a gap into a track and how does the automation move with it?

Post

ahh, i found it ;)

click on your track icon e.g. track 1, set up your left & right markers the required amount then in the track dialogue -> insert into tracks > insert space in the marked region. Any clips in the track will now move forward the requisite amount, along with any automation - sweet.

to me tracktion was allso fun to use, but i need it also for work. in a studio smal projects can suddenly became big (adding voices, strings...) and then folders or grouping is important. rearanging a mix after thought it's finished is often to do (automation on clips) and monitormixes must be set up very fast (why isn't there a slider on the auxicon). and still no option to use the solo knob in the conventional way (had to klick every single track that's routed to a subtrack) and for that no easy way to listen to just the reverb on an auxtrack (i know the workaround but 15 klicks on muterackfilters instead of one..). god how i have hoped for some of the features i've mentioned. ist so sad to leave this beautyfull piece of concept

i got t1 for free in december, but i gotta say from the demo of t2 .. its not much of an upgrade from t1.. where are the plugs? i cant see paying $150 for a small update, i think its just "lets market this n sell it", t1 users are kinda left out in the dark here, kinda like metalica sellin out

the plugs will come in the official release. this is a demo.
i need a lunch break

I am very near to decision to leave the campus.
T2 is better than T1, but I would say it is T1.8, not full-fledged new version.
And price shoud be maximum 20% over T1.
I am ready to buy download version without plug-ins (I really don't care for bundled plug-ins) for some 20-30 $ price.
Otherwise it is non-sense.
Manual is finally here, this is the best part of T2 definitely.
So, before T5 it is hardly to expect grown software for something more than fun.
I am sorry, but seems no way to work more-less seriously without Samplitude or Sonar.

I'll more than likely get it anyway - as it's a nice rewire host, but having said that with Project 5 v2 about to be released with new features such as rewire host & freeze (& decent time stretching/acid wav support) the pricing may actually be quite important when it comes to comparing features etc on a cost/benefit type basis. Project 5 is £130-ish with a free upgrade to v2 at the mo, T2 (current exchange rate) £80 (+25% vat =100?). pretty close really - and u get some decent synthy type stuff in project5 v2, wonder how the automation & stuff will work in that hmmm.

My idea too, a better midi editor
is a must and that shouldn't account for a
V2 upgrade.(i think mackie bundled a lot of stuff
to cover this up).

V2 in my opinion would be inclusion
of a liquid audio stretching algo of high quality
(come on guys, this is marketed as an audio sequencer)
beatslicing capabilities for clips, track folders...

it ALL depends on the 'upgrade' price for previous
full T1 owners.

I think as a owner of non NFR T1, 30-40 dollars MAX
for a downloadable T2 without plugin bundle is what i would give, certainly not more.

sorry to see you go aldi

I´m sorry very much, but i have to said that i am disappointed with t2. I have been waiting fot this release a year and now that I have been able to prove t2, I encounter that It has the same deficiencies that t1. I feel it, but I am very boring. I need a good midi editor... and t2 hasn´t it. To edit midi velocity in bars is horrible. A velocity tool was very necesary and it does not appear in t2 (Jules said the last year to me by email, that in Febrary of 2004 a new version of tracktion with a new midi editor would be released... no coments).
In addition when you select midi note velocity editor (that it shows the horrible edition bars, like cubase...) it does not allow to see the lowest notes because the midi note velocity editor shows on them...
And the midi line tool... edit control parameters with it is a nonsense because it draw stairs, not lines.
Another thing, when I use gigastudio with rewire and I stop the edit playing, notes continue playing in gigastudio...
Summarizing, I had many expectations with t2 and I have found the same basic problems in this new version. I don´t want new features, I want t1 without basic problems.

damn your right it does still just draw those bloody set's of stairs - bugger :(

Not quite sure what you're asking here - you're just drawing in controller data. If the mouse doesn't change controller value from position to position, you're going to get a line between them. If it's a question of resolution, try holding down the CTRL key when drawing in controller data.
