For accessing the desktop, use win+d instead of a shortcut icon. When do you launch acrobat reader via the icon instead of via pdf? Do you really think realplayer and quicktime are good softwares? I have four icons on my quick launch, and I use my computer for browsing, music and development. I got my browser, winamp, miranda and total commander as quick launches. I fail to see when I'd need to quick launch a media player or a document reader.

Yeah it was weird, I think I installed rp or qt and for some reason the volume settings on there took control of the whole audio, then i uninstalled it and my sound card was just away with the fairies, very strange, probably my own mistake. Hey ho. Worked this time round though... touch wood...(knocks head)
