Wooot! But what will I use to keep my musical morale up - to counteract the feeling of insecurity created by the atrocious noise that comes out of these programs when I use them - I need those little symbols man, I need them...shamann wrote:You know, you can narrow the space so that most will only be visible in a popup menu.
Now that is something I would like, when I lived in Orkney I had a plan for a concept piece of music, consisting of many samples of sound gathered around the Orkneys, tied together with beautiful music inspired by the beautiful islands in the beautiful Atlantic...McLilith wrote:...Just don't forget to take your laptop, and your field recording equipment with you!Hunter wrote:should get out more....

Good point - the pdf & different player ones aren't really needed there -delete - thats freed up some nice room nowstefancrs wrote:For accessing the desktop, use win+d instead of a shortcut icon. When do you launch acrobat reader via the icon instead of via pdf? Do you really think realplayer and quicktime are good softwares? I have four icons on my quick launch, and I use my computer for browsing, music and development. I got my browser, winamp, miranda and total commander as quick launches. I fail to see when I'd need to quick launch a media player or a document reader.

Yeah it was weird, I think I installed rp or qt and for some reason the volume settings on there took control of the whole audio, then i uninstalled it and my sound card was just away with the fairies, very strange, probably my own mistake. Hey ho. Worked this time round though... touch wood...(knocks head)topaz wrote:never heard of such a thing, built about 30 pc's all using those.
