Same thing happened here, and it was very annoying. I tried moving the T1 icon from its folder to the desktop and starting it, but then there was an error. So I uninstalled and reinstalled T1. Tried installing T2 again on a different drive entirely and again it went over the T1 desktop icon. This time I made a shortcut copy of the T1 icon, renamed it and moved it to the desktop, and that works fine.
Still, T2 shouldn't go over T1 like that, at least not when it's only a demo.
Where's T1?

if you had made a shortcut to that file you copyed it would have worked!!Shazbot wrote:I tried moving the T1 icon from its folder to the desktop and starting it, but then there was an error.
if that exe file that you moved is run anywhere apart from where it was installed to it wont work!!
the same thing would happen if you did this to cubase or sonar

The only thing I noticed, having installed T2 to a different directory than T1, was that both versions share the program configuration - i.e. plug-in folder assignments, temp directory, active projects in the projects screen.
Other than that, both versions seem to run side by side without any noticeable problems.

Well yeah, now I know that (what an idiot I must be for not knowing that! Gosh!! That's the way your response reads, btw...). But why should anyone have to do that? The T2 demo should install not to conflict with T1 in any way.djsubject wrote:if you had made a shortcut to that file you copyed it would have worked!!Shazbot wrote:I tried moving the T1 icon from its folder to the desktop and starting it, but then there was an error.
