Heh heh...me again :D

So I made a rack.

I put the MidiCCFilter plugin in to it, routed from MIDI in to MIDI out.

I actually have 2 instances of the filter in the line between in and out; 1 CC 0/value 81, the other CC 32/value 0.

I named it JVPresetA, I added it to my Rack list.

I insterted it into a previously functioning midi track, and I get this msg
"This track has a VST synth but doesn't output to a wave device so no output may be heard"

Sure enough...no output is heard. The Track is a MIDI track, the rack filter is a MIDI I/O filter.

How can I get this to filter the MIDI data as I'd like it too?

WHen I get done here I'm either gonna be the resident outboard synth expert.....or a Sonar user.

Why are you using a rack? Not quite sure I understand what you've done..

Anyway, try this thing. details in the other thread..

Well...if you'll notice from the other thread, my level of T2 experice is right below retarded.

AND, racks are re-useable collections of filters, right? So I thought I could use make rack for each bank in my synth, then insert the program changes (hopefully) using your nifty gadget that I'll try ...
as soon as I get done explaining the wistful delusions of the the T2 retarded to you :D

Thanks JazzAddict!

i allways forget the power of racks is more than just a box for putting fx chains into :dog:

Here's what it looks like, maybe that'll help somebody make it work:

Each of the 2 have different cc's and values, they span from the MIDI IN to the MIDI OUT

Seems like it ought to work.

Are you trying to generate a bank select message with those? You're barking up the wrong tree if so.. those merely limit the range of incoming cc data AFAIK. Try the plug I made instead: this will pass all MIDI and audio unchanged, but allows you to add prg changes and bank selects (and will respond to prg changes too).

so how about a little somthing that will let us save extra programs on vsti's that only support 1 program in the list? & a tool that will let us write our settings as a program patch?

:D

well it was worth a try

You're barking up the wrong tree
Huh?
Oh.
Yah, cause it sure ain't workin. :x

Your Plugin looks great. I'm thinkin I use yours in as many racks as I have banks/preset lists and lable 'em ike in my example above, no?

Then the lists can be specific to that instance's MSB/LSB setting, no?

Its a little bit confusing discussing this in about 4 different threads at once! see the other thread..
