$499 would better reflect its usefulness! (for example) Its still officially in Beta.. the price will go up by an unspecified amount for the v1.0 release. ie: its worth buying a license now even if you don't think you're likely to get into it for a while.

oh well, I can do without...

The computer is already faster than I am. I don't mind pushing some buttons and so on. It is kinda like tuning my guitar. I need to sit and tune it before I am ready to play anyway.
