can you make a cd from a tracktion song? if so, how do you do it? i need to get a cd made of some live tracks i did today.

can't find any documentation on the subject.

Export the mixes as 16-bit wav files (check you have dither turned on) and burn with another app such as Nero or Roxio.. you just need to make sure that you burn in "disc-at-once" mode.

Alternatively get an audio editor such as Audition or Acoustica, and export a whole CD from Tracktion (eg: a full live set) as one long WAV: you can then import this file into the editor where you can split it into regions and burn a disc with track start ids. Both these apps will run for 30 days before you neeed to buy them.. (try them serially and you get nearly two months free!)

yeah, i can just do that in wavelab too. but i was having a hard time finding how to render files to wav format inside tracktion. actually found it before you replied. hehe. thanks anyway man! i appreciate the help.

i did a series of drum tracks today for an ongoing album project and we're trying to get a copy of the recordings to the artist so that he can work on the arrangement a little more before actually doing the recordings in a proper way.

we did 16 guide tracks today ofr the drums! man! it was a long day. and the first time i had used tracktion for anything serious.

actually did a fine job!

im impressed. didn't actually think i was going to have success with it, but i tried it anyway.

i was fooled. and the wavs turned out great. useable stuff. although the guide tracks are more for his rehearsal of arrangements and such, we may go ahead with a few of the guide tracks as the final track for the mix in a few instances. all of them were of high quality. we used some good mics and the onyx performed great. im happy with the new live capture rig. it's a great little system.

im finding out how to get around the program little by little. it's really not complicated.

coming from analog, then to pro tools, then to this.... its a little different and im adjusting. but im adjusting just fine and everything is going very easily actually. i plan to stick with this program for good.
