Hey all is there a way to record the output of a track? --
I am using Melodyne Bridge - its a vst filter that brings audio into Tracktion from melodyne and I want to record a pass of myself moving some of the parameters in Melodyne in real time. Melodyne can also work as a rewire slave. It won't render obviously so....
anyone?

I've never used Melodyne.. is it not possible to record your tweaks as automation?

Set output of the track being another track, and press record on that one?
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.

If recording your tweaks as automation works, you could simply render when you're happy..semiquaver wrote: midi automation or no, the problem is how to get melodyne bridges output back into T as an audio clip!

Render does not give Melodynes output - Melodyne runs in synch with Tracktion but not within Tracktion. The Melodyne Bridge just pipes sound to, or in this case from Melodyne - so it plays back great but doesn't render as rendering is "offline".
Melodyne can also be run as a rewire slave, something I haven't played with yet. Is there a way to record the output of a rewire device in T?

what soundcard do you have? M-Audio delta series have a useful way of routing output back to a sort of 'virtual' input. i don't know how other cards work but i would be surprised if many medium/pro-level soundcards didn't allow this
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

OK so I had to patch the digital out of the ULN back int the Dig in... so...
***** 2.1 feature request ******
Create an output assignment that feeds a bus input object.
Unless there is a more elegant way to do this for we Jamstix and Melodyne users...
what say you all?

Have you tried using the "export" feature, with "render at 1x play speed" checked? If you select the track first you can export just that, and re-import the result..semiquaver wrote:Render does not give Melodynes output - Melodyne runs in synch with Tracktion but not within Tracktion.
