could not get the input level meters (the full screen ones) to work... had e-e and all enabled... dunno if i had direct monitoring on... but the input meter on the lower screen was working.

Also, while i dont mind the look of the input meters, im not ok with the fact that they hide the wave files... when punching we would now need to constantly toggle between the two veiws... not good....

I guess this mode isn't really intended for recording over-dubs & punch-ins etc, but for those occasions when you have multiple mics to set up: this mode will avoid having to click each input icon in turn to see its metering, instead allowing all inputs to be lined up from some distance away (eg: the mixer). If you're just recording one signal its not really needed as you can select the input, then click the little lock symbol (top left of panel) to keep it visible while you work..

yes. I understand that... so this mode does not come on when recording just one track ? aint that a bit strange ?

It comes on when you ask for it (CTRL+ALT+M) but it only really makes sense for multi-track recording IMO..

I don't use it, myself. I hope the code for it gets developed into mix-down meters, though. :D Not really for me, but to get the mixer-people a bit happier. <chuckle>

I also would have rather been able to see the waveforms underneath.

Im not too clear out here. I want to use it when im doing multitrack recording, to have an overveiw of ll inputs... i might also want to use it recording a single source. I woiuld also like to have an underlaying waveform displaywhile this display is on. Makes logical sence to me. Why is it not working. (i have not tried it while multitracking, but they wre not working while i was recording a single source.

also out of curiosity. Is it difficult to implement code which would enable scrub to picture ? (picture moves as you move wave clips around and scrub audio, makes syncing audio to film a snap!
