Im a little stunned!! so am i to presume that T1 CAN support loop recording ???? I recorded audio in loop with T2, opened the session in T1 and the 'plus' icon was there!! with takes and all....

I wonder if a bunch of features were buried in T1 to ensure forward compatibility?

that's awesome...

I think developer's do this all the time - putting new (often unfinished) code in the official release but hiding it - I still remember when Jorgen's beta-preview of the sampler was a simple .ext file which only had to be loaded and there it was...

Jorgen also forgot regularly to hide the sampler when he released a new beta - a few minutes later he always pulled it again but one or two quick users already had it by then...

My guess is that Jules is only better a hiding things than Jorgen as he seems to be less chaotic :hihi:

half finished code, maybe, but not deliberate forward proofing.

Hell, some *ahem* MS *ahem* work hard to ensure that newer file formats don't work in obsolete versions. :(

The demo doesn't seem very limiting apart from the noise burst: I just opened an old edit in T2 demo, made a bunch of changes, saved it then reopened the edit and rendered without problems. And now you're saying T1 support multiple take? I'm not complaining, au contraire, but just out of curiosity, what exactly is forbidding somebody from working in T2 all the time and just swinging open T1 at render time, apart from the render specific options (64 bits eng and broadcast wave)?

p.s. the noise could have worse...

But since T1 didn't "officially" support broadcast wave, I wonder if the waves created in T2 would snap into place if you copied and pasted them in?

It is kind of cool how these things are coming out though. I love how I can work on something in T2, then send it to someone with T1, and they can use it. Or can they not? Did I get this wrong? What if I put an aux send in or something? Would that break the process? Hmmmm........

it's a good question ... I hope they had the foresight to jinx it so that this would work in the paid version of T1 but not the NFR version

The auxes dont show cause there is no aux plug available to T1. I think the 'tracktion' plugs are installed within the .exe and hence you cannot access them seperately.

tell me rob... do the aux plugs show as plugins not available within T1 ? if so, then all one has to do is replace it with either senderella or a properly configured rack, and ure on.

Ill try and test to see if the Broadcast code is hidden within T1 also... highly doubt it though. now, if jules would implement OMF support also...

Hmmm, to make the aux sends/returns compatible with T1, maybe when opening in T1 it could just replace the send with whatever filter the send was pointing to? Make a T1.6.5.1 or something with little things added like that?
