Looks good, but can it do its own stunts? :o

Post

Hmm - Is it another CM release or a Muon solo release???

Just curious!!! Which pays best??

Looks like a drum sampler, an upgraded SR-202 perhaps? If so, what would make me interested is a step-sequencer, ala Redrum. Anyone else have a guess as to what it is?

Post

Neutron will be released under our own brand....and yup, it is definately a drum sampler based on SR202.

mr muon, just to reask mikes question, does it have a step sequencer? If so how many steps? Does it come with any samples and how much will it cost..and when do you reckon it will be ready? Sorry for all the questions but if it is like redrum then its just what ive been looking for.
Exceedingly good

Post

To take the questions one by one...

1. No step sequencer, sorry
2. Price will be $50 (though there'll probably be an early-bird discount)
3. Release - very soon!

Does it load SR-202 kits? Does SR-202 load its kits? Does it load any other format of kit?

Post

It will definately be able to load SR202 kits, but SR202 won't be able to load Neutron kits 'cos of the extra bells and whistles (stereo samples support for example).

Support for loading other kits isn't finalised so I can't comment further right now :(

Well, being able to load SR-202 kits is great. I've downloaded all of the ones on the CM site and some of them are just great!

Will you ship with a bunch more kits (or at least some)?

Post

Well, it's about time that Muon get's it's own drum-sampler :D
CrimsonWarlock aka TechnoGremlin, Moved to Reason and Rack Extensions exclusively (from Reaper and VSTs) several years ago.

just curious, but what was used to make that sneak preview 3d graphic? and who made it?? :)

Post

Shaun, our artist dude extraordinaire, tells me that he used a mixture of Cinema 4D and FormZ to produce the 3D shot.

The logo was done in-house by the Muon web-team. The design was based on a mathematical rendering of a double moebius knot. You had to ask!!
