Mandrake 10,2 RC1 with WINE.
Got it loaded with a new project, but I have to configure WINE alittle better. The song pointer line still doesn't move when pressing record.
I'm sure it's just an audio config thing.

Cool! My two most used music apps are Tracktion and Synthedit: both developers have expressed an interest in a Linux port.. just give me those two in a Linux box, and I'll be happy!

Ive got an old Celeron thing running Ubuntu (at the moment: looked at Red Hat & Mandrake too) which I had planned to use for web browsing.. unfortunately I still haven't got round to configuring my router so both boxes can connect.djsubject wrote:you not got a linux box yet???
As far as music software goes I'm far too hooked on Tracktion to bother looking at any of the existing Linux sequncers.

Novell Desktop Linux is really coming on in leaps and bounds - the best aspects of Suse coupled with an idiot proof setup.
though it was a total f-cking nightmare to get wireless working for my centrino based Vaio - but RH and Mandrake faired no better.
