Well, there's always Final Mix: more EQ than most people are ever likely to need in there! I have wondered if that EQ section is going to make it into a seperate plug too.. lets hope so eh? ;)

Just read the manual for Final Mix for the first time...why have I neglected this thing (probably because the name implies a finalizer of sorts)? Damn - this is the replacement for Cubase's VSTDynamics plug that I've been looking for to use in Tracktion - a channel-strip type plug that can do a multiple of jobs: multiband-comp, full-band comp, 12 band (!) EQ when used by itself, noise gating, soft clip limiting - individually or all at once! Big ups to Acuma Labs & Mackie on this plug.

Unfortunately, it's a bit CPU-heavy to use as a channel-strip type plugin (at least on my P4 2.6Ghz).

I haven't put it into play in a proper project yet...I hope the CPU isn't too taxing (ie, when only EQ is enabled). Will keep an eye on it...
