so i have battery 2 hooked up to have separate outputs for each cell and i can't preview samples using battery's browser. and another thing that makes battery almost unusable for me is that when i press a cell (doing this should trigger the sample/samples in the cell) i get no sound.

oh and on playback everyhting's fine but it's a pain to have to always press play to hear even the tiniest tweak i made in the sound,

and another thing:
so i have battery 2 hooked up to have separate outputs for each cell
and a midi clip conatining the notes for both kick and snare on track 1 (i.e. the kick track) when i solo the snare track (track 2) i get no sound.

:help:

Do you have the "auto" button pressed?

I'm assuming you're using a rack filter to set up all these outputs. When you solo the track without midi, theres no midi data going through the filter, therefore you get no sound.

and... how can u work with multiple outputs then? do i need to have the midi corresponding to each instrument on it's own track to be able to solo?1

I just tryed the preview thing with multiple outs and it works fine, as long as you have a rack set up to recieve the channels of the cell. So if your snare is at 3/4, you need to have the rack set up to recieve channels 3/4 before you can preview.

If that doesnt work for you, the only thing I can think of is that you have the sample mapped at a velocity different than the preview velocity.

Unfortunately I think so. I usually dont start arranging and soloing things until I'm almost done with the track so it hasnt been a problem for me. But I can see how its an issue for you. If you split the data up like you mentioned, it does give you more control tho because you can see how the arrangement works.

yeah, haven't thought about this one. but i remeber havin tried this before and having battery as an usual filter on a single track, i think the cell preview thing worked fine. i can't try it right now cuz i'm not at home

ok. this is reaaaaaaaaally pissing me off. i can't, no matter what i do, and i've tried a few things, preview samples, neither in battery's browser, nor by clickin on the cells.

tried it and, no. still don't freakin work.

this is not it either. can anyone try this please, and tell me if i'm the only one that's getting this or what.

i even tried uninstalling/reinstalling both tracktion and battery, but still to no good

I don't know battery I;m afraid.

To solo your snare, solo the snare track, then (holding control) solo the MIDI track aswell.

which midi track? i have only 2 tracks. one with the midi data, reciving the kick from battery and the other one, (empty) reciving the snare.

Post

theres your 2 tracks

yeah, but he said

Yeah. You need to end up with two tracks soloed at once: the track with the MIDI that plays the drum sound, and the track to which the resulting audio is routed.

but if i have 2 tracks soloed at once i've done exactly shit, cuz one is the kick and the other one is the snare.
the track with the MIDI
is the kick track

End-To-End Enabled? Can't preview a cell without it. B2 cells preview etc. work fine 4 me in T1, not T2.

:dog: shit, end to end disabled lol
