Microtonic for synthesised stuff, home-made Synthedit contraptions, or the native T sampler for samples. (I'm a cheapskate!)

I think I might also be using RMIV soon though.

Why use anything else then RMIV? it's a solid product and it's free after all...

does RMIV load wavs?
oh and the ability to have separeate outs for separate sounds (kick, snare, hat etc) is a must

RMIII hs pretty good format support (it certainly supports wavs) - I imagine RMIV is even better.

thanks. i'm doin that right now. this RMIV fella seems like a worthy substitute for battery. (wishfull thinkin? hope not...)

I use DR 008 and SampleTank but I guess I might be using RM IV additionally in a month

Me too, use DR 008 and sometimes ST2 (I'm still trying hard to like it). And I'm not sure if I will have RMIV in a month

Fl Studio 5. Works great as a VSTi in Tracktion and you can save every setting within an edit (unlike Rewire).

Free where? I am pretty new to this so maybe I'm not seeing something. I use my S08 Yamaha for drums..still can't figure out how to use it as a MIDI controller or how to use it with Tracktion. Trying to find out.
