T2 Per-Track View Question/Sugestion

I'm quite enjoying the T2 Demo. I really like using my Mackie Control again (quiet after giving up Cubase SX2 for T 1.6!)
One thing I'm a bit disappointed in is the Per-Track input option for T2. After going through section 3.1 of the Demo Manual and by playing around with it first, I found that I could not have the same input on multiple tracks.
Now, this is my own fault for assuming the per-track input would behave this way, but there are times when doing scratch pad work that I like to layer VST Instruments. I know I can put these instruments into a rack and run them parallel, but it would be much easier to "arm" multiple tracks with the same MIDI input. It would also make it easier to mute tracks or change VST instruments of effects therein.
I just don't see much point to having the per-track option over the classic Tracktion drag input if the same input can't be used on multiple tracks. I suppose it's work flow related.
I can use Racks and plug-ins like Splitastic, but it would be much easier to have the option on the per-track input. Just my $0.02 (US, not Canadian!) Thanks for any thoughts you might have on the subject!

I've asked for this a couple times. The answer is racks, of course, but this idea seems so dead simple that I'm surprized it hasn't been implemented--it just seems so Tracktionesque to me. Let's start a campaign!

The answer is indeed a rack, but you don''t have to work inside one to layer synths: simply create a new rack and connect its MIDI input to its MIDI output. Now drag an instance of that rack to all the tracks you wish to share the same MIDI input. Now all you need to do is to play & record MIDI on any one of those tracks, and any synths inserted after the racks will recieve the same MIDI:

MIDI in Racks. Complex but effective
You know, I use racks for so many VST apps I never even thought of using the MIDI connections! Pretty clever!
Lunch Money, it would pretty much be for real-time playing situations, scratch padding, etc. As you mentioned, in a sequencing situation, I'd probably just copy the MIDI information or actually go the further step and record something a bit different on each track. Thanks for the responses!
