P5 doesn't export midi, Muzys exports midi but for some reason it seems to export everything onto channel 1. I've composed a few loops for a cell phone ringtone and I'm trying to make a .mid file from it...

thanks

Orion will.

man, that was fast. thanks.

Anyone know of any free midi sequencers that I could use to do this?

eXT can now export midi parts. I'm not sure if it can do multichannel ones, but it might be worth a look.

I've had some luck wiht Cubase SX 3.01.
Come to think of it, SL or SE can probably do that too.
Maybe even Cubasis VST.

you could use midi trackers... :)

All "big" sequencers do. And even the smaller/older versions of Cubase do as well.
Basically anything originally starting as a MIDI sequencer (Logic, Cubase, Sonar) and apparently a few others as well.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Ditto: Any sequencer I've used will export MIDI with seperate channels, volume, pan, etc. Make sure you're exporting to MIDI Format 1 - Format 0 will sum it all to one channel.
